Wild Horses

Wild horses have fascinated me for a long time before I ever found the courage to paint them. I am awestruck by the fact that they have been un-tamed for all this time and have survived against all odds. I wanted to show their grace and freedom of movement as well as how they fit into their surroundings and nature.

This series of horses in their natural habitat goes through a setting of different seasons and environments. The use of splatter paints is intended to give the appearance of spontaneity and mystique to the paintings. It portrays the horses in a playful but powerful stance in a semi-abstract fashion.
